Information collected automatically
The site uses Google Analytics 4 after the page finishes loading. In its default web implementation, Google Analytics can collect session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and a first-party identifier stored in the _ga cookie. We use aggregate reporting to understand which pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.
We also count how people use catalog filters, evidence links and purchase links. Search text is sent only when it matches known catalog data. We exclude unmatched free text from Analytics and shareable URLs, so an email address or phone number entered by mistake is not transmitted.

Information you choose to provide
There is no account registration, saved cart, comment form or active newsletter signup on this site. If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. That information is used to answer the request, review submitted evidence or maintain a corrections record.
Affiliate and external links

If a qualifying purchase follows one of those links, the publication may earn a commission without changing the buyer’s price. Amazon and other manufacturers or retailers process activity on their own sites under their own privacy policies. We do not receive payment-card or checkout information.

You can block or delete cookies using your browser controls. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics does not prevent access to the laptop catalog or its evidence.
Sharing, sale and security
We do not operate a customer-profile database and do not sell personal information. Google processes analytics data as the measurement provider. Email is handled by the relevant mail services. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information by email.
